Ginger - Welch Corgi Cross Rescue Dog

Update April 14, 2015: Ginger is now living in her forever home in Nampa, Idaho!

Home checks are always done before an adoption takes place, and we have a network of volunteer Rescue/Adoption experts across the country that we rely on to make sure these animals are placed in homes where they will be safe and treated well. This particular home check reported a glimpse of paradise! For a dog as sweet as Ginger who has been waiting so long for a forever home, this just warms our hearts! Here is an excerpt:

“Alpacas, rescued goat, doves, llama, ducks, chickens, rabbits, geese, Indian running ducks … I was in 2 acres of heaven, plus a lonely dog needing a new dog friend. They’ve also rescued and re-homed miniature horses and donkeys.

The gentlemen builds arbors. He used to create ponds, so has an enormous pile of boulders to put in a 8 ft waterfall and pond this summer. In another area he will build a huge pond and a small house over the pond (free, recycled wood) that friends can stock with fish, and fish from a small deck.

Adding more green houses as he sells produce from a farmers market in Nampa. Did I mention all their animals are spoiled? Needless to say, they passed and will give a loving home to Ginger!”

December 9, 2014:
Ginger is a sweet and very well mannered female Blue Heeler/Pembroke Welsh Corgi cross, about 1-2 years old. The combination of the two breeds makes for a very loyal, intelligent, protective bundle of joy. Ginger would be an excellent family dog. She does require daily exercise, long walks, play time in a fenced yard, and mental stimulation to prevent bad habits. Excellent for obedience training with a consistent loving approach. Ginger is good with other dogs, good with children, and will be protective of her family. She will shed once or twice a year and requires minimal grooming.Ginger was picked up wandering the streets and taken to a shelter. When she was not claimed, the rescue took her in. Ginger will be spayed and micro chipped before adoption.

National transport may be available.
