Updated 8/11/17: Congratulations to Bear! He’s found his forever home!
Bear
Meet Bear, a 2 year old male German Shepherd / Idaho Fuzzy cross. Bear would love nothing more than to be someone’s best friend. He is very smart and tries so hard to please. He loves people, including children. He hasn’t had the experience of being an indoors pet yet, but could be taught, as he would love to be even closer to his people. He would do best as an only dog, and he doesn’t like cats. He is doing well on a leash, and has learned basic commands. He responds best to calm, patient, yet firm training. He needs to know he is safe and loved.

Bear needs confident and loving guidance. He has made big improvements since coming into the rescue and is trying hard to be a good pet. He will be a devoted member of a family, or a loyal companion for a couple or single person wanting a sweet pet in their lives. Bear needs a home where he can spend a lot of time with his people.

Bear is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. He weighed 60 lbs at vetting, and has gained weight since then, but is still quite thin. As he continues to be well fed, he’ll reach a more healthy weight. If you are looking for a big dog with a huge heart, you will love Bear!
